Cosworth back in F1 for 2010
Legendary race engine builder, Cosworth has agreed relationships with three teams whose entries to the 2010 Formula One World Championship have been accepted by the FIA. The three teams that will be provided with support for the next three years are Campos Grand Prix, Manor Grand Prix and Team US F1.
A Cosworth V8 developed from the CA2006 engine used by Williams in 2006 will be supplied to conform to the FIA’s cost-conscious regulations mandated for the 2010 F1 season. Cosworth CEO, Tim Routsis said, “I am pleased that Cosworth's mix of capabilities has enabled us to provide a solution for Formula 1 that sits so neatly with our existing operations in the aerospace and defence sectors. Cosworth is proud to extend its long association with Formula 1 as a truly independent provider of competitive motive power.”
