Letcher destroys Sidebottom ute at Bathurst

V8 Ute driver Allan Letcher has been cleared from the medical centre after his car rolled six times into the infamous Bathurst Chase following a race one incident with V8 Ute drivers Charlie Kovacs and Ben Kavich at Mount Panorama, Bathurst today, Saturday, 10th October.
Letcher's car, the VE Commodore Ute owned by Ray and Shanan Sidebottom was totally destroyed in the incident, however the West Australian based driver is unhurt and in good spirits.
“This is my 30th appearance here at Mount Panorama and the first time I’ve been involved in a major incident and unfortunately the Ute is a right off, however it stood up well to the massive impact,” said Letcher.
The team will work on a replacement vehicle for the next event, however there is some question about whether it will be prepared in time for the series finale at Sydney's new Homebush circuit in December.
