Ross and the team are preparing to head to Queensland for round 5 of the Australian Superbike Series which will be held at Ipswich on 20th to 22nd August.

This is the second round of the Australian series to be staged in Queensland in 2010 and Ross is hopeful of a much better outcome than the teams last visit to the sunshine state in June. “The team and I were very disappointed when mechanical problems encountered in race 1 prevented me from completing any races” said Ross. “I was gutted that we had travelled so far and we were out of the game so early in the weekend. I was 10th in the championship going into that round and it was very difficult to stand on the sidelines knowing that I would be leaving without gaining any points”

Round 5 will be a very busy round for Ross as the round will be a double header for all entrants in the 600cc class after the previous round, scheduled to be held at Broadford Motorsport Park in Victoria, was cancelled. Add to that the fact that Ross has cross entered for this round and will also contest the Motard races, a new class to be added to the Australian Superbike Series.

“I know that this round is going to be a tough one, both physically and mentally, so I have been training hard” said Ross. “With such a big gap between rounds it will be great to be back on the bike turning some laps and getting my season back on track.”

Round 5 will also see the unveiling of an innovation new to the team, a camera will be set up in the pit and all the action streamed live to the world so that all our fans can get an insight into what goes on in the pit between races. “We have tried really hard to keep the fans involved this year” said Ross. “That way it doesn’t matter if you can’t make it to a meeting, you can still feel like part of the team.”

During the break in the Australian Series Ross has also been contesting the Victorian Titles, the most recent round was held at Winton 17th to 18th July, was a very successful event for Ross. A podium finish in Race 2 and 5th overall for the weekend saw Ross consolidate his place in the championship. He is currently 4th overall in the championship with the final round to be held at Broadford on 28th to 29th August.
