BMW Rahal Letterman Racing Team testing at Sebring and Road America
Rahal Letterman Racing (RLR) have begun testing the new BMW M3 GT2 race car at Road America and Sebring in preparation for its debut next year in the ALMS. Jörg Müller, the 2001 GT champion in the American Le Mans Series with BMW Motorsport had the most seat time in the car.
As these photos show the car is certainly going to be a head-turner, although RLR are hoping that it not only turns heads with its looks but also with the cars performance. They will be conducting an extensive testing program from now through to their race debut at the Sebring 12 Hour next March.
The plan is to test the car in Europe as well as the US, with the team announcing that Bill Auberlen and Joey Hand will be their first two drivers.
321ignitionmag.com will keep you updated with the cars progress right up to its debut next March.
